Overview

A man recalls his time as a political prisoner during the Chilean military dictatorship at Pisagua Prison: the desert on one side, the sea on the other. The collection of letters he sent to his wife is interwoven with footage from a trip to the desert, presented as a diary. Figures from the underground pass by one after another, blurring the distinction between stone, bone, and rock.
