Overview
The film is essentially a game of telephone using circular forms—both natural and human-made—that I encountered on The Huntington’s grounds and in its collections. It moves from the ground (succulent plants) to the sky (rare astronomy books) and in between. The film is a humble attempt to approach big things—such as nature or culture—through intimacy and analog processing. In addition to being a conversation with the location, this film is a love letter to the 1969 film “Tops” by Charles and Ray Eames.
