In the current context where bad news for the planet is multiplying and eco-anxiety blocks our initiatives, The Art of Trees is reaching out for a better hope. If only the trees could speak... In this latest film of the trilogy highlighting the vitality of the ecosystems of the Suroît (south-west of Québec), director André Desrochers leaves the word to the forest and its friends, the trees. These “beings” of wood reveal well-kept secrets, untold stories, but also present positive human actions that protect the forest, while allowing creative artists to give a second life to trees called “dead.” And why not change our egocentric behavior into an ecocentric one and give forests a legal personality before the law?
